Thank you

... for over 350 downloads within one week! Seems I did something right with the choice of topic and route. I have not yet decided on the next scenario to release, but I do have some plans in my pocket. Some involve again US routes, another probably gets to play on Seebergbahn. Until then you might want to check some of my earlier works like 'Ride the Q', 'Torpedopfannen wreckage' or 'Airport Special Service'. They all involve different payware requirements and often some freeware downloads, all are available in english as well despite the description on the site. I did not yet check them back with TS2012, but since they are all set on not yet updated routes they should run fine. In case of problems please contact me and I'll fix them. Thanks for that and again thanks for your downloads and praises, appreciate it :-)

New scenario: The Amtrak ICE Tour

This fictional scenario sets you aboard a morning drive of the ICE from Philadelphia to New York in the consist order the real Amtrak ICE tour was driven in. But to make the scenario more interesting fictive stops in between were added and the additional traffic on the line was built in with a good diversity and entertainment value in mind during the about 90 minutes ride.
To present the train as good as possible, Amtrak tried hard to clear the line from any other traffic, so nothing unusual should happen. Watch the speed limits and signals and you should have a nice and easy ride on the NEC.

Required payware:
  • North East Corridor Expansion Pack
  • BNSF Officially Licensed ES44AC & SD40-2
  • and one of the two available ICE models:
  • virtualRailroads ICE (recommended)
  • German Railroads ICE (created and tested with the original GR version, not with the Steam version)
plus three freeware downloads, links are in the readme file.

Second Teaser - New NEC scenario

So, while we all are eagerly awaiting the update for the NEC route, here's another one for you. Little bit more obvious I guess. If the update does not break anything big time in the scenario it will be out tommorow. I will have to recheck the scenario twice and when it's all good it goes out immediately, if there are little issues I will start fixing immediately, if there are big issues I still may provide the scenario for a non-updated route, though installing it will be difficult. Let's just wait and see what happens.
Oh and did you notice, we're on version 7.1a now? Some little patch sneaked in tonight.

Blog just started...

This is the blog of Web42 about all my Railworks projects I am currently on and which you might be interested in. I will present you WIP pictures and some teasers here and there. You might know me as "Toldrabald" from the various forums, for RW I from now on put everything I publish under the label Web42. Why? Because I can. And it's been my domain name for ages, only that my webspace is a mess. Instead of sorting things out I made this fresh start for anything Railworks related and will transform my homepage back into something else, whatever I might develop.

So let's start with a little teaser:
You might see something unusual in this picture if you look close enough. While the NEC route is pretty obvious, something does not fit. Further details will come on October 12, it will be revealed on the 14th in case the update for the route works well.
